The standard elk image is a bit of a mystery. It has been released into public domain by Scott, Foresman and Company, a publisher of educational textbooks. It was most likely came from a textbook in the early 1900's. Lee loved the vintage feel of the graphic and incorporated it intothisstandard t-shirt. The phrase 'Purveyors of Quality Gear and Threads Since 1995' was adapted from a vintage denim reseller in Knoxville, TN in the 1980's. The phrase 'Purveyors of Quality Threads' resonated withLeethen and stuck inhishead. We used our version of the phrase at Outdoor Adventures which was founded in 1995 and carried it forward as a company tagline when we rebranded in 2014.
